Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Effective October 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between Narrative AI, LLC ("Narrative", "we", "us") and the organization or person accessing or using the Service ("Customer", "you"). They govern the Narrative web application, the Narrative Chrome extension, our APIs, and the getnarrativeai.com website (together, the "Service").
By clicking "I agree," creating or activating an account, completing a purchase, or accessing or using the Service, you accept these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" means that organization and every individual it permits to use the Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Narrative provides software that helps B2B sales teams research accounts and people, prepare account strategies, draft outreach, and keep CRM records current — with a human always in the loop. The Service generates drafts and research for your review; you decide what is sent, saved, or acted on.
2. Accounts and Seats
- Access is provisioned per named individual. Credentials and active sessions are personal to the named user and may not be shared, rotated among people, or used concurrently by more than one person.
- You are responsible for all activity under accounts you create or that are created for your organization, and for keeping credentials confidential.
- You will provide accurate account information and keep it current. We may suspend accounts that are compromised, shared, or used in breach of these Terms.
3. License to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Narrative grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license, during your subscription or other authorized access period, to access and use the Service solely for your internal business purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Narrative.
4. Restrictions
Except as expressly permitted in writing by Narrative, you will not, and will not permit or assist anyone (including any affiliate or contractor) to:
- copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the Service or any part of it;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the Service's source code, models, prompts, scoring methods, data sources, or other internal workings;
- develop, commission, or contribute to a product or service that competes with the Service using access to the Service, Narrative Confidential Information, or the Service's non-public features, workflows, or outputs — including by using the Service to design, specify, train, prototype, or validate such a product;
- access the Service to monitor its availability, performance, or functionality for competitive purposes, or publish or disclose any benchmark or comparison of the Service without our prior written consent;
- scrape, crawl, bulk-export, or systematically extract data or outputs from the Service other than through features we provide for that purpose;
- rent, lease, resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to any third party, including on a service-bureau or time-share basis;
- circumvent or exceed usage limits, credit metering, seat limits, or technical access controls;
- use the Service to violate law, third-party terms that bind you, or the rights of any person, including in how you obtain, process, or contact personal data of prospects; or
- upload malicious code or use the Service to transmit unlawful, infringing, or deceptive content.
5. Evaluations, Pilots, and Trials
If we provide any portion of the Service free of charge or for evaluation (a "Pilot"): (a) these Terms apply in full to the Pilot; (b) the license in Section 3 is further limited to internal evaluation of the Service; (c) we may suspend or end a Pilot and its access at any time; and (d) Sections 4 (Restrictions), 6 (Confidentiality), 7 (Intellectual Property), and 11 (Feedback) apply to Pilot use with the same force as to paid use. Pilot or free use does not create any license, implied or otherwise, to use anything learned from the Service to build or improve a competing product.
6. Confidentiality
"Confidential Information" means non-public information disclosed by either party in connection with the Service that is identified as confidential or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential, including — for Narrative — the Service's non-public features, prompts, model and provider configurations, methods, architecture, security practices, roadmaps, and pricing, and the structure and organization of its outputs. Confidential Information does not include information that is or becomes public through no fault of the recipient, was lawfully known before disclosure, is independently developed without use of the discloser's Confidential Information, or is rightfully received from a third party without duty of confidence.
The recipient will: use the discloser's Confidential Information only to exercise rights and perform obligations under these Terms; protect it with at least reasonable care; and not disclose it except to employees, contractors, and advisors bound by obligations at least as protective, who need it for those purposes. These obligations survive for five (5) years after termination (and for trade secrets, for as long as the information remains a trade secret). The recipient may disclose Confidential Information when legally compelled, after reasonable notice where lawful. Each party may seek injunctive relief for actual or threatened breach of this Section without posting a bond, in addition to other remedies.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service — including its software, models, prompts, workflows, designs, interfaces, documentation, and all improvements — is and remains the exclusive property of Narrative and its licensors, protected by copyright, trade secret, and other intellectual-property laws. No rights are granted by implication, estoppel, or exhaustion. "Narrative", "Narrative AI", and our logos are our trademarks; you may not use them without our prior written consent.
8. Customer Data
- You own your data. "Customer Data" means data you submit to the Service or authorize it to access on your behalf (including CRM records, contact data, emails, call recordings and transcripts where you enable them, and documents).
- You grant Narrative a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Data solely to provide, secure, and improve the Service, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for having the rights and lawful bases needed for the Customer Data you use with the Service, including compliance with the terms of your connected systems (CRM, email, calendar, LinkedIn) and applicable privacy and outreach laws.
- We may use data that is aggregated and de-identified — so it does not identify you, your users, or your prospects — to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell Customer Data and do not use it to train third-party foundation models for others' benefit.
- For 30 days after termination, we will make Customer Data available for export on request, after which we may delete it per our retention practices.
9. AI-Generated Output
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate research, drafts, scores, and suggestions ("Output"). Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, and is provided to inform — not replace — your judgment. You must review Output before relying on it or sending it, and you are solely responsible for communications and decisions you make using it. Output is not legal, financial, or professional advice. As between the parties and to the extent permitted by law, you may use Output generated from your Customer Data for your internal business purposes, subject to Section 4.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service interoperates with third-party services you connect (for example Salesforce, HubSpot, Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn, and payment processing by Stripe). Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for them. Connecting a third-party service authorizes us to access it on your behalf within the scopes you grant.
11. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or other feedback about the Service, you grant Narrative a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for any purpose without restriction or compensation. Feedback is not Customer Data.
12. Fees, Credits, and Taxes
- Paid plans and usage credits are billed as described at purchase. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees and prepaid credits are non-refundable and credits have no cash value and expire with your subscription.
- We may change pricing with effect from your next renewal, with notice.
- Fees are exclusive of taxes; you are responsible for applicable taxes other than taxes on our income.
- Purchases made through our checkout require acceptance of these Terms; the individual completing checkout binds the Customer organization.
13. Term, Suspension, and Termination
These Terms apply from your first acceptance or use and continue while you use the Service. Either party may terminate for the other's material breach uncured within 30 days of notice. We may suspend access immediately where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, other customers, or to address a suspected breach of Section 2 or 4, or non-payment. On termination, your license ends and Sections 4, 6, 7, 8.5, 9, 11, 12, and 14–19 survive.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NARRATIVE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR TRADE USAGE. NARRATIVE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR FIT FOR ANY PURPOSE.
15. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY; AND (B) EACH PARTY'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO NARRATIVE FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY AND (ii) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).
THE LIMITS IN THIS SECTION DO NOT APPLY TO: YOUR BREACH OF SECTIONS 4 (RESTRICTIONS) OR 6 (CONFIDENTIALITY); YOUR INDEMNIFICATION OBLIGATIONS; INFRINGEMENT OR MISAPPROPRIATION OF THE OTHER PARTY'S INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY; OR LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
16. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify Narrative against third-party claims, and resulting damages, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees, to the extent arising from: (a) Customer Data or your use of the Service in breach of Section 4 or 8.3; (b) your violation of law or third-party rights, including in prospect outreach; or (c) disputes between you and your users or prospects. We will promptly notify you of any claim and reasonably cooperate at your expense; you may not settle a claim that imposes obligations on us without our consent.
17. Governing Law; Venue; Jury Waiver
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Collier County, Florida have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction and venue there. EACH PARTY IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL in any such dispute. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. The prevailing party in any action to enforce Sections 4, 6, or 7 is entitled to recover its reasonable attorneys' fees and costs.
18. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may improve or modify the Service, and we may update these Terms. Updated Terms are versioned and posted at getnarrativeai.com/terms with a new effective date, and material changes will be notified in the Service or by email. Changes take effect on the stated effective date; your continued use after that date — or your acceptance in the Service, where we request it — constitutes acceptance. Changes are not retroactive.
19. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any ordering document we both agree to, are the entire agreement about the Service and supersede prior or contemporaneous understandings — provided that a signed written agreement between you and Narrative controls over these Terms to the extent of any conflict. You may not assign these Terms without our consent, except to a successor in a merger or sale of substantially all assets with notice; we may assign to an affiliate or successor. A waiver must be in writing; failure to enforce is not waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in effect. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control. You will comply with applicable export and sanctions laws. Notices to Narrative: hello@getnarrativeai.com. Notices to you: your account email. The parties are independent contractors; there are no third-party beneficiaries.
